Mission Statement

Our mission statement is made up of four standards.  These are:

  • You plus me equals three
  • Excellence through education
  • Commit to the individual
  • Caring earns trust

1 + 1 = 3:   You are motivated to improve your health, and if pregnant, that of your unborn infant.  We can provide top notch health care with highly regarded health care providers.  If you put the two of us together, we can achieve much more than either of us can achieve individually.

3-Steps to Excellence:  We achieve healthcare excellence through educating you as our patient.  Our approach to medicine is a three-step process.  First, you become educated about your health care issues.  Second, you come up with questions about those issues from your research and we discuss them.   Finally, once all of your questions are answered, we sit down and come up with an approach to your issue together.

The Plan:  Dr. G often tells patients, “You come up with the plan and if it is a good one, I have the license to get the goods.”  We feel if you have bought into the plan, you are more likely to follow the plan.  This is because you UNDERSTAND the reasons for the plan.

Education:  We provide several educational resources.  For our pregnant moms-to-be, we’ll give you a copy of, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”. For other pregnancy and gynecologic information, we email you articles from well-referenced website known as , “Up To Date.”  With that email, we include full access to this website which allows you to research any medical topic.   As you become familiar with a topic at your level of understanding, you may research it at a more advanced level.  (By the way, this is THE website physicians turn to when they need questions answered).  We also have other patient information available on our website and in pamphlet form at our office.

Commitment:  Patients frequently complain of never seeing the same health provider for their visits or can never contact them when needed.  We feel this trust between doctor and patient is not a common thing anymore.  We want to assure you we personally are available to you 24 hours a day.  You may not need us but it is nice to have the security knowing are personally accessible. To show our commitment to you, Dr. Gregerson wants you to have his personal telephone number:   (208) 880-8824

Availability:  Dr. G delivers all of his own patients at St. Alphonsus whether he is on call or not—well, as long as he is in the Treasure Valley.  But he is still available by phone if he is within the confines of the United States.  Otherwise, his nurse practitioner, Bobbi Bullock will be available by phone.  In the unusual circumstance when Dr. G is unavailable to deliver patients for our practice, we make on-call arrangements for deliveries with other providers we personally choose and trust to care for you and your baby.

Caring:  Finally, we hope as we demonstrate we truly care about you as OUR patient, you will come to trust us.  That is how caring earns trust.  When we follow the four standards, a fifth standard then becomes possible.  That standard is intimacy.

Intimacy is the ability to be safely vulnerable

Isn’t trusting your healthcare, your life, to another individual a truly intimate decision? Dr. G
